Wisdom is your Lover

by Roman Semko

It's the sum of your knowledge - an experiential model of your reality. An absolutely unique and intimate perspective. You curated it all your life. You shaped it, consciously or unconsciously, with knowledge and experiences, making it your own.

Would you share it with a random stranger? Would he treasure it like you do? Would he accept the information, digest and absorb it, and make it part of his knowledge? Or would he throw it away, worse yet, desecrate it with his words? And the resulting stress reverberating back to you, shaking your wisdom out of balance. Making you question it. Suspicious. Distant.

But it was you who has sent it out, exposing it to someone who was not ready or perceptive enough. You pushed it onto someone else in a vulgar manner like a pimp selling her on a street corner. And then you wonder when she gets rejected, defamed, violated.

Information today is abundantly used as a dopamine source, a pornography with little value. Get a quickie, throw it out. How do you find what's there to treasure? How do you discover your pearls of knowledge in an ocean of information? And how do you share your pearls so as to not let them be lost in the ocean or, worse yet, be torn apart by the sharks?

There is time and place for everything. You need to make sure the intimate knowledge you put out there is found and treasured. Treat your wisdom as a royalty. Do not push it out to the street - place it on a throne behind high walls. And let the worthy ones find a way to unlock it. A hero's journey to the high tower to find his princess is part of the knowledge transfer and might be even more important that the bits of information prized at the end.

Lead by example. The result of your wisdom - not the wisdom itself. Local scale. You do not have to change the world. Put only your tiny feelers out. And trust the universe that the right people will find you when the time comes.
